Goodbye Chrissy Amphlett, Australian Ledgend and amazing woman

Today we mourn the loss of an amazing woman, Chrissy Amphlett, born in Geelong, Australia in October 1959.

Having battled MS from 1998 and Breast cancer for the past couple of years, today she lost the battle. It is a blessing to know that she went peacefully in her sleep.

The legendary Ms Amphlett, was lead singer with the Australian rock band the Divinyls. A powerful voice and stage persona, she was one of a kind, a tour de force in stockings. The Divinyls were inducted into the ARIA hall of fame in 2006.

Bursting into the music industry in 1980 with the hit, Boys in Town, the Divinyls were a tour de force in Australian music and then making the transition to the international stage in 1991.

Chrissy is survived by her husband, musician Charley Drayton and her family. Our prayers go out to Charlie and the family in their time of loss.
May God bless and keep her safe. May the Universe shine its blessings on Chrissy now and for ever. We will always hold a candle to you Chrissy, you brought so much love and light to your fans. You will always live in our hearts and memories. One hell of a woman and a true blue Aussie,  the
sort that the world has come to know and love for their passion and zest for life.

Gone but never forgotten. Chrissy you are the stuff legends are made of  bold and brave to the very end. God bless you.
